Brixham Coastguard has confirmed its search for a trawler which went down off the coast of Brixham has been called off. Searches have continued throughout the day for The 'Sarah Jayne' and her missing skipper, named locally as Geoff Ingram.
The beam trawler capsized yesterday about two and a half miles off Berry Head. Two other crew members were rescued alive. They've been named as Mathew Bull and Scott Chamberlain.
The fishing community in Brixham has been hit hard by the news. Today there was a sombre mood at the harbour as many returned to work.
Tonight (Wednesday) the coastguard told ITV Westcountry the situation is now in the hands of the police. It said it's possible police divers will resume the search tomorrow.
