ITV's The West Country Tonight has learned that two of the worldwide centres which fund Shelterbox have pulled out.

The charity, based in Helston, responds to disasters across the world by delivering boxes complete with tents, provisions and water tablets to help people through a time of crisis.

It seems it is now facing a crisis of its own.

There are 20 Shelterbox centres around the world - known as affiliates. Their donations make up around 60% of the charity's funding.

Shelterbox says only one worldwide centre has pulled out. It has issued this response to concerns about the charity.

Our Cornwall Correspondent Steve Hardy has this exclusive report:

Steve Hardy has been to the charity's headquaters in Helston, talking to the Chairman of the Shelterbox Trust:

The West Country Tonight contacted Mr Henderson for his response but he didn't want to comment at this time.
