The Government has announced details of £20 million pounds worth of investment in the East Devon new town of Cranbrook.
Some of the money will used to deliver roads and infrastructure needed to develop a new town centre. The rest of the money will be used to support the building of new schools.
It's hoped it'll also help increase the number of new homes being built from 300 a year to 500.
– Mark Prisk MP, Housing Minister
“This Government is serious about building more homes. That’s why we have beenlooking carefully at how we can accelerate large, planned housing schemes thatalready have the support of local people, but need help to move forward in thecurrent economic climate.
