Defeats for Devon's teams

Doncaster and Yeovil played out a 1-1 draw at the Keepmoat Stadium, ending Yeovil's run of eight consecutive wins.

Paddy Madden struck for the visitors early on to score his eleventh goal in eight games, breaking a club record by scoring for the eighth game in a row. Billy Paynter hit back for the hosts.

Alan Knill's first game in charge of Torquay ended in defeat. Second-placed Port Vale won 1-0 at Plainmoor courtesy of a Calvin Andrew strike.

Burton brushed aside Exeter City 4-2 to record a seventh successive home league win and move into the automatic promotion places in third.

The home side scored three times in a 25 minute period in the first half.

Michael Symes, Marcus Holness, Jacques Maghoma and Lee Bell struck for Albion before Guillem Bauza and Scot Bennett restored some respectability for the Grecians.

Plymouth Argyle have slipped to the bottom of the table after a 1-0 loss at Northampton. Clive Platt scored the Cobblers' winner after 72 minutes.
