For the last few days we have flip-flopped between pleasant dry days and autumnal wet and windy days.
That pattern is set to continue into tomorrow too, but then things are set to settle down.
If wet and windy days are flops, then today is more of a flip with increasing amounts of sunshine around.
This afternoon will be generally pleasant with plenty of sunny spells.
A rather fresh northwesterly breeze will add to the cool feeling temperatures. Expect highs of 17C, but more like 14C where you take an onshore breeze.
Tonight starts dry with clear spells. Later in the night more cloud moves in from the west and eventually some rain in the far west. Lows of 9 or 10C
Thursday morning begins with a spell of rain. This could be little heavy on the higher ground before turning lighter as it moves across the region during the morning.
In to the afternoon brighter and drier weather moves in from the north and west but expect to hold on to some cloud in the south east.
It may feel quite muggy with highs of 16-18C and once again it will be rather breezy.
So another 'flop' of a day on Thursday but then we 'flip' back to a spell of more settled weather that could last well into next week.
