Devon's Luke Friend will be hoping to redeem himself in front of the X Factor judges this weekend as he battles to stay in the competition. Last Saturday, Gary Barlow told the 17 year old from Teignmouth he was "disappointed" with his rendition of Van Morrison's Moondance.
Fingers crossed, the comments will be a lot more positive tomorrow night.
With his trademark looks and edgy style. Luke Friend has become one of the shows characters. Back in Teignmouth, mum Sue Potts has experienced first hand what it's like to have her son thrust into the national spotlight.

"Obviously we've got a lot of people wanting to know more about Luke, which in some respects is wonderful, and then in other respects it takes a lot of time. It's a bit sad that his Grandfather didn't see him get on to X Factor. Luke's wanted to do that since he's been ten years old and I must admit I was quite happy when they moved the age from fourteen to sixteen because I think it's a little bit young to go on something like that so this was the first year that Luke could have applied for the X Factor."

Meanwhile final rehearsals are taking place at the X Factor studios in London today. Watch our report with Divya Kohli as she caught up with Luke.
