Increase in unemployed in SW

Figures out today show there's been a small rise in the number of people out of work in the South West, despite a fall nationally.

The number of unemployed in the region rose by 8,000, or 0.3%, in the three months to the end of October, to stand at 175,000.

That's six point four per cent of the working population, still below the national average of 7.4%.
