The Chairman of the Chamber of Trade in Dawlish has expressed the town's disappointment that the Prime Minister did not include them in his itinerary when he visited the South West today.

Mr Cameron called in at Portland, Chesil Beach and then Plymouth en route ot his final stop in Newquay, but did not find time to stop off at Sawlish to inspect the work going on to repair the sea wall and railway track which was demolished during last week's storm.

David Force told our correspondent Seth Conway that the Prime Minsitrer's decision to fly past the scene in a helicopter in between his other engagements was not quite the same as stopping in Dawlish and talking to local business people.
