The Deputy Prime Minister has been in Somerset to open a factory that's created hundreds of new jobs.
Nick Clegg went to handbag manufacturers Mulberry in Bridgwater where he met apprentices set to benefit from the new base.
More than 300 jobs have been created for people of all ages. The investment could have gone elsewhere the leather is largely Italian and when Mulberry was looking to expand it had factories in Somerset, Italy and Turkey, but £2.5 million from the government has ensured its stayed in the county.
Mulberry's customers my be growing oversees, but the company believes its British craftsmanship and design that has become its strongest selling point in the luxury goods market.
