Volunteers hoping to become part of Shelterbox's emeregncy response team have been enduring a ruthless test of character and stamina.

It was a lot of fun it was good to get to know the people I am spending the next 4 days but it was really cold and made me empathise with families who are spending nights in the tents after a disaster particularly in snowy or colder areas.

They have a bank of more than 200 volunteers ready to respond to any disaster.
