A relieved dog-owner has been reunited with their pet after the animal fell over a cliff in Brean.
Volunteer crewmembers from the Burnham-on-Sea RNLI responded to a call from Brean Down yesterday morning. They were told the dog had fallen over the edge near the fort and that its owner had climbed down the Down to look for it.
Local Burnham Coastguard volunteers, the Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB), and the Burnham-on-Sea RNLI Lifeboats turned out to help with the search, finding the dog's owner on the South shore.
The dog was eventually rescued and reunited with its owner. Both were transported back to Brean Beach and directed towards the nearest vet.
