The Nursery's owners say they hope to have them open as soon as possible.

Registrations for the Mama Bear’s Day Nurseries on Long Road and Queen Elizabeth Drive in Paignton have been temporarily suspended by Ofsted and both nurseries will be closed from 6.00pm on Monday 11 January 2016 until 21 February 2016.

The Ofsted investigation is related to a police investigation concerning a former employee of the nursery. We are co-operating with Ofsted and the police on this matter.

We recognise the disruption caused to parents and their children and we are working closely with them to secure alternative childcare arrangements. We are urging Ofsted to report its findings as soon as possible. The safeguarding of children is our first priority at all times.

There's no suggestion the alleged offences are connected to the nursery.
