Fifty people have been rescued from the Isles of Scilly after a passenger boat got into difficulties.

The boat reported taking on water shortly after 11.30 this morning, with 48 passengers and two crew on board.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency says all those on board were rescued and have now been taken to safety.

A salvage pump was put aboard the boat, which is being towed by the RNLI into St Mary's Harbour on the Scilly Isles.
