A teenager from Wiltshire, whose family recently adopted, is urging other families to open their doors to foster children.
Ruby Macey from Tidworth has created a film, with the help of charity Fixers, to dispel some of the fears, and point out the plusses of a newcomer joining the family:
Ruby's film coincides with a 20% rise in the number of foster homes needed in the last 12 months.
The teenager has also created a booklet to help the birth children of foster families come to terms with the process, and overcome feelings of guilt and jealousy.
