Two dogs have gone missing in Cornwall after the car they were in was involved in a crash.

Lostwithiel Fire and Rescue Service attended the crash between Lostwithiel and Bodmin on Thursday (22/12) and released a woman from the vehicle.

65 year old Linda Camborne-Paynter is being treated in hospital - she's expected to have an operation to fix her broken arms.

Her dogs - who were in the car - ran off before help had arrived.

The pair are Jack Russells named Dexter and Snowy.

The woman's niece, Tiena Shiraishi, took to social media to appeal for help in finding the pets.

There have been some suspected sightings around the hamlet of Sweetshouse. One woman shared this map saying she saw one of the dogs near the B3268.

Anyone who thinks they have spotted the dogs is advised not to chase them. They're likely to be scared and being chased will frighten them more.
