Mark, who started his television career in an ITV region, brings a wealth of experience to the programme gained from his 20 years at Sky as well as time working on programmes for the BBC and Channel 4.

As a senior presenter at Sky, he’s interviewed several Prime Ministers and high profile public figures from The Prince of Wales to David Bowie.

Mark has strong family ties to the West Country and is looking forward to sitting alongside Kylie Pentelow in a partnership that’ll be seen by viewers 5 nights a week.

I’ve long admired the connection ITV Regional News has with its viewers and the West Country is a terrific place to live and work. I can’t wait to get started.

– Mark Longhurst, New Co-Main Presenter of ITV News West Country

I’m delighted to welcome Mark to the team. I’ve watched Mark over the years and always admired his warmth, wit and incisive interviewing style. He’s one of the best broadcasters in the business and understands exactly what viewers want from their regional news programme.
