101-year-old skydiving great-grandfather reveals plans to wing walk next

He may have jumped into the record books yesterday to become the world's oldest skydiver at 101 years old, but Verdun Hayes is already planning his next adventure.

The centenarian has revealed plans to wing walk as his next adventure!

The Somerset centenarian took to the skies above Dunkeswell Airfield on Sunday morning and leapt from 15,000 feet alongside three members of his family.

  • Verdun Hayes, great grandfather 101.
  • Roger Hayes, grandson, 50.
  • Bryan Hayes, son, 74.
  • Stan Hayes, great grandson, 16.

Verdun's grandson Roger however, told ITV West Country that he was not too thrilled about his grandfather's wing walking plans, saying "if he does it, we've all got to do it!"

Meanwhile Verdun remains unfazed by his daredevil activities, speaking about how he felt before the skydive he said, "I was as calm as calm could be."
