Spectacular steam locomotive Tornado thunders through the West Country

The first mainline steam locomotive built in the UK since the 1960's has been making its way through the West Country.

The Tornado has been through Dawlish on the Bank Holiday Monday and today could be seen along the Bodmin and Wenford Railway.

It is a replica of the Tornado steam train, sixty of which were built in 1944.

The Tornado will take passengers on the three mile ride to Bodmin Parkway from tomorrow for five days.
