Woman killed in Hewas Water crash named

The woman killed in a car crash near St Austell last month has been named by police.

Kelly Pearce, 40, was the passenger in a car that collided with 22 vehicles parked on the forecourt of Andrew Toms Cars at Hewas Water.

The incident happened on Sunday 25 June just after 9.45pm on the A390. Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene, after the black Vauxhall Vectra she was in left the road.

The male driver was taken to Treliske Hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

The road was closed for eight hours while officers carried out an examination of the scene and officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses.

Detectives are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of a black Vauxhall Vectra in the Hewas Water area around the time of the crash.
