'I can’t understand how anyone could do this': Pet cat loses eye after being shot with a catapult

A pet cat has lost an eye after being shot with a catapult.

The owners of five year old Sox found him seriously injured near their home in Swindon on Wednesday 12 July.

They thought he'd been injured while fighting with another cat, but a vet found he'd been shot with a ball bearing, thought to have been fired by a catapult.

Owner Ron Schofield said he was upset and angry that his "beloved pet" had been targeted.

I can’t understand how anyone could do this and hope someone knows who is responsible and gets in touch to stop this happening to another animal.

He’s now recovering after his operation but we’re too petrified to let him back out.

The RSPCA is investigating.
