Cornish officers decided to climb the equivalent walking distance from the Penzance station to London and back, totally 600 miles.

They've already raised hundreds of pounds for their colleagues.

"We'll be climbing the equivalent of walking from Penzance Community Fire Station to Kensington Fire Station and if that wasn't far enough - we'll be climbing the equivalent miles all the way back to our home station! That's approximately 600 miles!

1 climb = 1 mile so we will be doing 600 climbs in total."

They've been completing the ladder climb at the Wharfside Shopping Centre.

The aim of the activity is to fundraise for the London Fire Brigade Firefighters who first attended the scene of the Tower fire, to aid with any issues they may have incurred after the incident.
