A police officer has denied assaulting a black race relations adviser after she allegedly tasered him in the face.
47-year-old PC Claire Boddie, from Avon and Somerset Police, allegedly tasered Judah Adunbi on Colston road in Easton, Bristol on the 14th of January.
During a short hearing today, Monday 14 August, at Taunton Magistrates' Court, Boddie pleaded not guilty to the charge of common assault.
64-year-old Mr Adunbi co-founded the Independent Advisory Group in Bristol, which was set up with the help of police to improve their relationships with the Afro/Caribbean Community.
Boddie, who wore a black suit and a white shirt, was granted unconditional bail and will next appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on 12 September.
