Wiltshire firefighters who rescued piglets from a barn fire have been given sausages made from the same animals.

Rachel Rivers wanted to thank the crew after they tackled the fire on her farm in Milton Lilbourne.

The blaze happened after hay in a barn caught fire.

The pigs have since been turned into sausages which Ms Rivers gave as a gift to the Pewsey fire crew.

I wanted to thank them. I promised them at the time I'd bring down some sausages for them, which they were all pleased about.

The station held a barbecue and showed their appreciation for the gesture on social media.
