Dog rescued from 80-foot Cornish mineshaft

A dog has been rescued by emergency services after it fell down a Cornish mineshaft.

Dolly the Jack Russell had been trapped in the 80-foot-deep shaft in Tolvaddon, near Camborne.

The dog was saved by the local fire and rescue team on Wednesday afternoon.

Dolly is the second submerged animal to be rescued by the service this month.

Last week they pulled a deer from a well in Idless Woods.
