Teen hit by train was student at Bath School

A 17 year old boy who died after being hit by a train on Monday was a student at the Bath Studio School.

The teenager, who has not yet been named, suffered critical head and arm injuries after being hit by the train in the city's Sydney Gardens.

The school has paid tribute to the boy who was a Year 13 student at the academy.

“The governors, staff and students of the Bath Studio School express their great sorrow at the death of one of our students. Our hearts go out to his family, foster family and friends at this very sad time. We are all shocked by the tragedy and are working to support all the students and staff in coming to terms with what happened. The school has counsellors on site and are working with experts from the local authority."

“The boy was a delightful member of our school community studying in Year 13. He loved to be involved in all the music activities and shared his love of music by being a positive role model to all his peers. He was respected and valued by all who knew him at school. We will all miss him enormously.”
