World-famous childcare training college, Norland College, is looking for families with whom their students can do six-week block period placements.
The college moved to new premises in Oldfield Par, Bath and are seeking more local families to help meet the increase in Norland students.
This year, a record 103 students were enrolled in September.
Those who will be placed with families are currently studying a BA (Hons) Early Years Development and Learning degree and are set to begin their placements in January 2018.
The criteria for families are:
- Have two or more children under the age of three
- At least one child must be at home with a primary carer from Mondays to Thursdays.
Families who apply will be visited sometime in November and December. The placement will be at no cost to them.
Successful families will be expected to complete timesheets and appraisals.
The placements are aimed at allowing the students to apply the theory they have learnt as part of their degree to real life, working with different families.
