Police investigate three suspicious drug deaths

Police in Gloucestershire are investigating the deaths of three people in the past week - which which may all be linked to drugs misuse

The deaths were reported on Tuesday 14 November, Wednesday 15 November and Thursday 16 November in Churchdown, Gloucester and Stroud.

It's as yet unclear if there is any link between the deaths, or whether the same drug was involved.

Toxicology tests are being carried out on the deceased.

Police say they are investigating the possibility of the deaths being linked ot the same type of drug 'along with the issue of whether there is anything unusual about that drug'.

"Whilst we do not condone the use of drugs, we do have a responsibility to protect everyone in our community and to make them aware of any risks posed to them. We would, therefore, advise all drug users to be extra careful and be mindful of the three recent deaths."
