Wiltshire Police are trying to trace the owners of a large greyhound dog after an incident in Calne in which a man was left with a fractured pelvis.

The victim, who is in his 60s, was walking his dog in the playing fields next to Anchor Road at around 11.30am on 18 March 2018 when a greyhound came running over at speed and knocked him to the ground.

He suffered a fractured pelvis which required surgery to fit screws and a metal plate.

The owners of the greyhound were in the park at the time and did fetch their dog but left the scene without exchanging details.

Officers have released a photograph of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.

The victim in this case has been left with a serious injury and had to spend a week in hospital receiving treatment for a fractured pelvis.

We know this area of Calne is popular with dog walkers and we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises the woman or the dog in the photograph we have released.
