Two people have been arrested following the death of a woman after a crash in Stroud in Gloucestershire this morning (Monday 23 April.
Police received a report of a collision in Cainscross Road which involved a cyclist at 4.50am.
At the time it was not clear whether any other vehicles were involved.
The cyclist, an 82-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol where she later died.
Her next of kin has been informed.
A 39-year-old-man and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information which would help with enquiries.
They would particularly like to speak to a man who was walking near Beards Lane, heading towards Cainscross Road, at about 4.50am as he may have seen a vehicle drive past at speed.
