A jubilant England fan found an unusual way to celebrate his team's win when he climbed on the bonnet of a car - only to be thrown off moments later.

The supporter clambered on the bonnet of a car as it tried to push its way through the crowds.

But, as he clings on, the car speeds up, before breaking suddenly, sending the man crashing into the road.

Despite the tumble, he fortunately jumps to his feet - running back to the crowds to rejoin the celebration.

The video of the incident was posted on Facebook and has so far been viewed more than 143,000 times.

It came as more than a thousand England fans brought a street to a standstill as they celebrated the team's first win in the World Cup.

Hundreds poured out on to Union Street in Plymouth following the 2-1 win over Tunisia.
