John Harvey is a well known face in Exeter, but what most people don't know is he faced depression and was on the verge of taking his own life.

He wants other men to speak up about their problems and not bottle it in.

Suicide remains the biggest cause of death in young men, as they're three times more likely to take their own lives than any other gender.

According to the NHS, one in four people in Devon is dealing with depression or anxiety. They say such shouldn't be seen as signs of weakness, but common issues needed to be talking about more.

"Real Men Talk" is an initiative by a number of charities getting men more involved in sports as a way of working on their mental health too. Some take part in football on Tuesdays, with help from the Exeter City Community Trust.
