A five-month-old puppy, which was so badly abused it had to have one of its back legs amputated, has finally found his forever home.

Buddy, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was lucky to survive his injuries, but thanks to the skill of the staff at a veterinary clinic in Stroud, he has a much happier future.

Buddy had to have one of his legs amputated as his injuries were so bad

He was taken to the Clockhouse Vets Hospital in early 2017 after he found with a number of broken bones.

Sadly, his injuries were so severe, he had to have one of his back legs amputated.

Buddy's previous owner has been prosecuted for animal abuse.

Sarah-Jane adopted Buddy after looking after him at the vets where she worked.

Now, at two years of age he has been adopted by the vet clinic's nursing assistant, Sarah-Jane.

He is now happier than ever following two months of rehabilitation.

A year and a half after first arriving at the vets Buddy is a lot happier and loved by all.
