The police today gave details of a serious road accident in Hayle in Cornwall. An 11-year-old boy was walking on Loggans Road around 8.40 in the morning on Friday December 7th when he was hit by a silver Audi A2.
The boy has been taken to Frenchay Hospital near Bristol for further treatment where he remains in a serious condition.

Devon has ranked second best in a national survey on highways and transport.
The survey of public satisfaction covered 75 English and Welsh local Highways Authorities. Devon County Council was rated the best for managing roadworks and congestion.

Police are appealing for information following a crash near Bude yesterday which left a 21-year-old man seriously injured.
A Honda Civic was travelling on the B3254 when it collided with a parked Toyota in a layby.
The driver was flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by air ambulance. The man, who is from Launceston, remains in intensive care.
The road was closed for around six hours yesterday while forensic officers investigated.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at around 11.35am.
