A secondary school in Exeter where the head teacher earns more than the Prime Minister is putting its application for Academy status on hold. Steve Maddern is paid more than £150,000 as head of West Exe Technology College.
Yesterday the city's MP Ben Bradshaw told this programme the school's bid to become an academy must be delayed while an investigation into its governance takes place.
