Plymouth joins national trauma network
Plymouth is to become a major trauma centre, specialising in treating people with life-threatening injuries.
It'll be part of a national network of hospitals, which will have to meet an agreed standard of trauma care. It's estimated this model could save an extra six hundred lives a year.
