Environment Minister visits flood-hit West Country
The Environment Secretary Caroline Spelman is in the region today, on a tour of flood-hit parts of Devon.
She visited the Met Office in Exeter earlier, and is now in Ottery St Mary, where she's meeting residents and people involved in yesterday's operations.
The clean-up begins
The clean-up is underway across the south-west this morning after yesterday's flooding.
Yealmpton in South Devon was among the worst affected places after the River Yealm burst its banks leading to fears it could wash the bridge across it away.
In Dorset, Weymouth and Burton Bradstock near Bridport were also hit.
16 flood warnings remain in place across the region. For the latest information, visit the Environment Agency's website.
