Thousands of people are expected to line the streets of Plymouth today to see the city's Olympic and Paralympic heroes.

Tom Daley and Ruta Meilutye will be among the stars as they board an open-top bus parade through the city, followed by a stage event in the centre.

The bus parade starts from Plymouth College at around 5.15pm

A proud Plymouth celebrates its London 2012 athletes and Games Makers today in it's homecoming celebrations.

Golden boy Tom Daley and 15-year-old swimmer Ruta Meilutye will be among the Olympic and Paralympics stars as they board an open-top bus parade through the city, followed by a stage event in the centre.

Thousands are expected to line the streets. Games Makeres will also join in the celebrations, which end with a reception by the Lord Mayor of Bristol. The bus parade starts from Plymouth College at around 5.15pm.
