There are calls for a community hospital to be re-opened following a bed blocking crisis.
More than fifty patients at the Royal Cornwall, who were "medically fit" to leave can't be discharged because of a lack of back up care. 14 operations have also been cancelled.
Poltair Hospital in Penzance has been temporarily closed for a year while its future is decided.

All the beds at a hospital in west Cornwall are being temporarily closed because of staff shortages. The decision affects 10 'in-patient' beds at Poltair Hospital, near Penzance.
Staff will be redeployed to hospitals in Helston and St Ives, while outpatient clinics at Poltair will continue as normal.
