Thousands of off-road biking fans are in Weston-super-Mare this weekend for the biggest sporting event in their calendar. It's the thirtieth Beach Race which sees riders from the age of seven right through to international champions competing on two, three and four wheels.

Shaun Simpson is one of the racers at day two of the Weston-super-Mare beach race tomorrow. He's been racing since he was four years old and competing since the age of thirteen. He's not the only one from his family to take part in the event, Shaun's dad won one of the races back in 1983.
Paul Winrow has won Weston-super-Mare's beach quad race for a second year running. He spoke to our reporter Wesley Smith about what it takes to get through the tough challenge.
Organisers of the Beach Race in Weston-super-Mare say conditions are perfect. Early showers gave way to brilliant sunshine for the Youth 65cc event this morning featuring boys and girls from 7 to 10.
The centrepiece today is the adult quad and sidecar race. Last year's winner, Paul Winlow, is back and admits he faces tough competition. Day 2 tomorrow includes the Youth Quad race and solo events.
