Tom's been a busy guy and it's a hectic time of year for zoo keepers across our region and quite a stressful one too.
Why? Because they've got to count all the animals, insects, birds and reptiles as part of their annual census. A counting exercise to end all counting exercises, but an important one. Tanya Mercer reports.
Bristol Zoo is carrying out its annual census of animals.
The stock-take involves counting all 400 species in the zoo from gorillas to insects - it has the potential to be a nightmare for zookeepers, the most challenging part of the audit is apparently counting more than 700 birds.
