Residents in a Cornish village are calling for a rail crossing where a woman was killed to be re-opened. The pedestrian crossing at Long Rock near Penzance was closed just before Christmas following an inquest into the death of Jeanette Nicholls.
Villagers say the authorities have over reacted, and the crossing is vital for locals and holidymakers to get to the beach. One hotelier said the closure threatened her business. Our Cornwall correspondent Steve Hardy reports.
