Teenage boy arrested over mugging of 96 year old

A fourteen year old boy has been arrested in connection with a mugging of a 96 year old woman in Wadebridge, Cornwall. Zoe Sheppard had her handbag snatched as she walked home earlier this month. Police say the boy is from Bodmin. He has been released on bail while more inquiries are made.

Pensioner 'afraid to go out' after mugging ordeal

A 96-year-old woman who was mugged in an alleyway as she made her way home from her local shop has told us she's been left afraid to go out because of her ordeal.

Zoe Sheppard's handbag was snatched in broad daylight in Wadebridge on Wednesday afternoon.

It's thought a teenage boy is responsible for the attack.
