Staff fear for jobs after Weymouth Pavilion closure threat
Staff at Weymouth Pavilion are concerned about jobs losses following the decision today by the management committee to recommended that the Pavilion Theatre will close at the end of May 2013.
Although the facility will be offered to tender to any interested groups from the community, staff fear that their jobs will be lost before any new organization takes over, because of the time the process takes.
Twelve permanent staff are currently employed along with a large number of casual workers.
