Grandfather Gary Beck chased an armed robber who had held up a Bath taxi office with a handgun. Mr Beck also threw a bin and fire extinguisher at him. The robber has not yet been found.

A man from Bath is being hailed as a hero for tackling an armed robber at his workplace. Gary Beck hurled a fire extinguisher at the gunman to try to stop him. The raider ran off and Gary chased after him, despite coming face-to-face with the gun. He's been telling his story to Wesley Smith.
Bath man chases armed robber out of taxi office
Gary Beck, 47, chased an armed robber who had held up a Bath taxi office with a handgun. Mr Beck also threw a bin and fire extinguisher at him. During the chase down Westmoreland Street, Mr Beck collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital. The robber has not yet been found. He stole £545 in cash.
