Torquay bomb alert - recovered items were not dangerous
Investigations into a suspicious device found at a house in Torquay yesterday, have revealed the items were not dangerous. Officers evacuated the property in Falloway Close and the bomb disposal team was called out.
Police are still questioning a woman and two men at Torquay Police Station in connection with the incident.

Residents expected to return home in 'the next two hours'
Officers were called for an unrelated matter earlier on today at one of the addresses locally and whilst they were conducting their inquiries they came across some items that have given them some cause for concern as a result of that with safety of the public paramount we've called in expert help to make sure those items are safe and those inquiries are ongoing and in the next two hours we should be able to get people back into their houses."

Officers made two arrests today in connection with burglary allegations that sparked today's incident in Torquay. Police discovered what's been described as an unexplained device at the terrace house, while on a separate investigation.
The Royal Navy bomb squad was called to Falloway Close at lunchtime, but since then crime officers and CID have moved in to investigate.
