Reports in several national newspapers suggest that former Chelsea & Leeds United owner Ken Bates is interested in buying Plymouth Argyle.

An Argyle spokesman said that the club does not comment on speculation.

Bates recently sold his majority shareholding at Leeds but will remain as Chairman until the end of the season.
