A drunk driver has been jailed for six years after killing two of his friends in a car crash in Devon. 22 year old Jason Huxtable had already admitted causing the deaths of two of his passengers by careless driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
Exeter Crown Court heard Huxtable tried to blame the whole thing on one of them, as she lay dying next to the burning car.
As drink driver Jason Huxtable is jailed for six years for killing two friends in a crash near Barnstaple, Hazel Kift, the mother of Emma Kift, one of the victims, has given this reaction. She says she hopes the sentencing will serve as a warning to others.
