A Devon woman who painted her house bright pink has been told she's got three years to change the colour.

The Kennedys live in a grade two listed property at Kennford on the outskirts of Exeter and they claim they've simply re-painted it the previous colour.

But the local council has ruled it's not appropriate and should be altered. Seth Conway reports.

Teignbridge District Council has ordered Ann Kennedy and her husband to repaint their entire house after a complaint about its colour.

The couple insist their Grade Two listed property is the same colour they bought it 12 years ago.

Ann Kennedy from Kennford near Exeter has been threatened with legal action by Teignbridge District Council after repainting her home 2 years ago.

She says the colour was matched to the same pink that had been used for at least 15 years.
