Fat cat in diet competition

Ulric, a 2 stone tom cat from Dorset, is the heaviest cat ever to take part in a 6 month PDSA dieting competition for pets.

Is this Britain's fattest cat?

A feline thought to be Britain's fattest cat has been put on a diet.

Ulric, a Norweigan Forest Cat is 12.65 kg (27 pounds, 14 ounces), but doesn't go outside his house in Dorchester because he's frightened of other cats.

His owner, Jan Mitchell, has entered him into a weight losing competition run by the vet charity PDSA.
