A 25-year-old man from Plymouth has been released on bail by police after an armed incident in the city on Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to Laira Bridge Road following reports that two men were carrying weapons.
One suspect was promptly arrested by local officers. The other suspect ran into a house in Laira Place.
Armed officers were called to contain the house and, after a lengthy standoff, the man was arrested at midnight.
Both men were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A 23-year-old man, also from Plymouth, has been released with no further action being taken.

At least 8 police cars attended the scene on Laira Bridge Road, where one man was arrested. The other, allegedly armed with a sword, ran into a house on Laira Place. He was arrested when armed police forced their way in.
